The Doors at the Hollywood Bowl

The same night the Fillmore West opened, the Doors played the Hollywood Bowl -- the concert that became their most famous, filmed and later released as Live at the Hollywood Bowl. Jim Morrison reportedly met Mick Jagger hours before the show and took LSD before walking on. Two coasts, one night: Graham christening his new San Francisco hall while, in Los Angeles, the Doors gave the performance that would outlive them on film.
